Plugging away

Tonight, 25 minutes again on soccer fields and marshy grassy trail area. Two 13-minute loops. The knee is quite sore, but I think the grass helps. I am quite out of shape. Weight: 197.4. My goal is to lose a pound a week for 20 weeks. This is my check-in day, Tuesday. So on August 16 .... Sunday, 23 minutes. Thursday, 25 minutes; Saturday, 27 minutes. 27 minutes next week. 30 minutes the week of April 11-17.

Two good days

I ran this morning 23 minutes up and down and around the Cedarcrest Golf Course. It's hard, but I want to stay on the soft grass for right now with this knee. It's sore.

Thursday, half-mile with Tori and Sayra, then 4-minute warmup, then 15 minutes on the track. I'm kind of slugging it out right now, but it's necessary.

Got to start somewhere

After soaring to more than 200 pounds and being totally out of shape, plagued with this tendinitis on the outside of my foot, and battling a nagging sore left knee, I ran today. 20 minutes. On the grass to protect my knee. It was good. It was a start.

I'm surrounded by track and running and planning these days. I have some good girls -- Caitlyn, Marina, Kylie, Taylor, Rebecca, Ruby, Yvette. I'm trying to get them going, smart, motivated. Then I'll take on the middle school boys next week. I am liking this whole thing.

I'm also biking. I great idea to keep tabs on runners. It's a good spring so far. It turned almost 60 today.
